Saif Ali Khan starrer Chef released last Friday with high expectation but failed to get a start as was desired by its makers. The film received mixed reviews from all the leading critics of the Bollywood but received a surprisingly low start on an opening day.
Chef’s Poor Show In the First Weekend
- Friday – Rs. 1.05 crores
- Saturday – Rs. 1.35 crores
- Sunday – Rs. 1.60 crores
Total – Rs. 4 crores
On an opening day, the film performed very poor and failed to get even a decent footfalls to its theaters. On Saturday, the story remained the same and surrendered at the box office. Its first two-day collection is just Rs. 2.40 crores and on Sunday also, it remains very low. Thus, its first-weekend box office collection is much lower than the expectations.
Judwaa 2 has completely dominated Chef at the box office and only an exceptionally well performance can save Chef from getting enlisted as a flop movie. The word of mouth is not going in favour of Chef and so it is expected to remain low in the coming weekdays.
