One of the biggest releases of 2016, Dangal has made its way to become the highest grosser ever so far with a total collection of Rs. 720 crores at the worldwide box office. The movie opened extremely well on 23rd of December and successfully emerged as the highest opening weekend grosser in the box office. Similarly, it has been able to set various other records as well in the domestic and overseas market.
The movie featuring Aamir Khan in the lead roles along with debutant Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh opened in more than 5000 screens that include 4300 in India and 1000 screens overseas receiving a highly positive response from everywhere.
As of now, the total domestic box office collection Dangal is Rs. 520.07 crores (gross) and the overseas collection is around Rs. 200 crores thus taking the total collection to Rs. 720 crores worldwide.
So, this Aamir Khan and UTV Disney banner’s collaborative production has set a new benchmark for other films while Aamir Khan has proved once again that he is always the king of box office and best called as Mr. Perfectionists through this biographical sports drama.
