Akshay Kumar starring Jolly LLB 2 started on a good note that has hit the screen yesterday across the country. This courtroom drama is the sequel of big hit Jolly LLB which had Arshad Warsi in the lead role. The movie opened with 30% morning occupancy while good growth is been witnessed with day’s progress and the evening show saw around 60% occupancy. So, the trend indicates that weekend will play a pivotal role for the box office now.
Jolly LLB 2 has collected Rs. 13.75 crores on its opening day which is definitely lesser than other Akshay Kumar’s movies such as Rustom and Housefull 3 but it is in the same range with Airlift. This courtroom comedy-drama received positive reviews from the critics. Also, it is assumed that positive word of mouth from audiences can contribute a substantial growth for the movie.
Jolly LLB 2 performed well in the North India while the performance in other areas such as West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh are not up to the mark.
Overall, Akshay Kumar’s first release of 2017 is doing well as of now while the weekend is expected to add more. The movie also stars Huma Qureshi in the lead role.
