Kaabil has done the unexpected. This will be the second time an SRK starrer has been overtaken in the second week, by the movie which released together. Earlier It happened between Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale. Kaabil’s 2nd Friday started almost similar to Raees but it took unprecedented Jumps on Saturday and 2nd Sunday which lead to it coming out as the winner.
The difference is not much and Kaabil will not be able to take up overall lead as well considering the lower collections in first week. Nonetheless, this is going to cheer up the producers of the film. Here are the 2nd weekend collections of Kaabil.
- Day 10 – Rs. 6.40 crores
- Day 11 – Rs. 9.22 crores
- Day 12 – Rs 11.88 crores
- Total (2nd Weekend) – Rs. 27.5 crores
- 12 Days Total – Rs. 118.14 crores
Raees also performed well at the box office. It won’t be fair to say that it did not do well. Here are the collections Raees at box office this weekend.
- Day 10 – Rs. 6.60 crores
- Day 11 – Rs. 7.12 crores
- Day 12 – Rs. 9 crores
- 2nd weekend total – Rs. 22.72 crores
- 12 Days total – Rs. 146.96 crores
So, there we go. Kaabil is still behind Raees and the gap is of around 30 crores and a difficult one to overtake. Considering Jolly LLB 2 is releasing next week, its safe to say its impossible.
