This movie is a sequel to 2012 movie, Carry On Jatta. This is the story of a happy go lucky orphan guy who wants to go to Canada. The only solution he finds is to marry an NRI girl. However, that girl, in turn, has a long list of checks she wants in her husband. What tricks will the guy implement in this part to achieve his dreams?

Carry On Jatta 2 took the highest opening among all Punjabi films and crossed Rs. 3 crores in terms of gross earnings on its first day. It remained rock-steady in the coming days and crossed Rs. 15 crores over the first week. Carry on Jatta 2 remained unaffected due to other releases and collected over Rs. 30 crores in the domestic market. This was the highest earning by any Punjabi film till that time.
Not only this, Carry On Jatta made a new record by crossing Rs. 50 crores in terms of its earning at the box office. It broke all the previous records of all Punjabi films to achieve this mark. Due to its superb performance in the theatres, it turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office.
