This is a tale of Emperor Shah Jahan and his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Their love lasted for 19 years until she died giving birth to their last child. Deeply struck, Shah Jahan spent 22 years of his life building a monument in memory of his late wife. This building housed the body of Mumtaz. Soon after, his son Aurangzeb, turned against him. He murdered his brother and imprisoned Shah Jahan for vengeance and throne. After the death of Shah Jahan, his body was placed along with Mumtaz’s body and together they became the Taj Mahal.
