This is the second installment of Tiger franchise, after ‘Ek Tha Tiger‘. Avinash Singh Rathore a.k.a. Tiger, the R.A.W agent, has been disowned by his own agency. But when the threat starts looming on the civilians, he is called back to the rescue. He now has to go on an impossible mission, where he is supposed to battle an international terrorist organization secretly.

Movie Reception

Tiger Zinda Hai opened to one of the biggest non-holiday opening collections for a Hindi movie. The film surpassed the record held by Dhoom 3. On its third day, it grossed the second highest single day amount for any film and earned over Rs. 100 crores over the first weekend.

It earned more than the lifetime earning of its prequel, Ek Tha Tiger in just six days and took its total over Rs. 200 crores in just one week. Due to its strong performance in the second and third week, the film easily surpassed the mark of Rs. 300 crores in its lifetime.

It even crossed a mark of Rs. 500 crores in the world. TZH took the advantage of Christmas Eve and New year holiday to earn an excellent amount in the theatres. The film became the highest earner on the eve of New year.
