Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has made a new record at the box office. It becomes the first low budget and non-cast film to cross the mark of Rs. 100 crores in the history of Indian box office. The film has not witnessed any major fall in its journey so far in the theaters. Many low-budget films came close to this mark but failed to achieve it. SKTKS has not only set a new record but also becomes an inspiration for other low-budget films. Last year also, many low budget films namely Hindi Medium, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Fukrey Returns performed well. But the performance of SKTKS is fantastic and much better than the former films.
Not only the star cast but also the music and dialogues of the movie manage to entertain the audience to the fullest. Even other new and holdover releases faced competition due to Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety at the box office.
