The Last Mega Blockbuster in this Country (not Bollywood) was Bahubali 2. A Telugu Movie Wrecked havoc at the box office and broke every record there was and collected a staggering Rs. 500+ crore net at the box office. But Bahubali 2 was hyped from the Benefit of its prequel. Another South Indian (Tamil) Release is here and everybody’s eyes are on Vivegam First Day collection.
Vivegam is Not Bahubali 2
Some people might be expecting Vivegam to do staggering business nation-wide. But that is not going to happen. Ajith Kumar or the Film Vivegam do not have enough popularity in Mumbai Circuit or rest of the North India to do a business like Bahubali 2. For some of our readers, this might be a very obvious fact.
But Vivegam is one of the biggest films in the Tamil Film Industry and its expected to do business like the best Tamil film ever.
Advance Booking Report
The Advance for Vivegam is Rock Solid. Multiplexes are decent but the Single Screens are excellent. Some Single screen theaters are nearly houseful. The film Vivegam which has an approx budget of Rs. 50 crores is expected to recover it very easily in a time period of 1 week.
The film is also eyeing strong overseas collection as the USA is a major territory for this.
First Day Collection Updates
Nothing much can be commented about the Vivegam film right now as figures are not yet available. But once some data is available we will update it on BOTY. Check back soon for more updates.
Update:
The Day 1 Net Collections of Vivegam are Rs. 20.25 crores gross. This comes to as Rs 15.25 crores net. This is still not the final figures as many small theaters from Tamil Nadu have not sent us updated data and all figures are approximates based on overall performance.
