Tamil film Industry has shown an enormous growth over the years. Without any doubt, it’s the second biggest growing Industry in India. It produces a large number of films per year which gives chance to the newcomers to establish their future. Kollywood is well known for its action plus comedy movies. But, this time, the makers of Tamil films attempted something new. They have made a horror Anthology which is first of its kind. An anthology is basically the collection of different stories.
The producer of this film, Shankar Thiyagarajan always wanted to make such film. He approached numerous directors for this project. Finally, he teamed up with five other directors & nailed it. Yes, you heard it right, there are six directors with six interesting stories in this film. The movie, 6 Athiyayam is a total experiment which might be successful as per the early estimates.

6 Athiyayam is an experimental horror Anthology with six different horror stories which is titled as Misai, Soup Boy Subramani, Chithiram Kolluthadi, Anamika, Super Hero & Ini Thodarum. It would be an absolute treat for the fans of horror films. All the directors are the story writers too. One of the directors, Cable Sankar is an old filmmaker who has directed many films over the years. Even he has portrayed a character in this film. Rest of the directors are making their debut in Tamil film industry.
Initially, the film was titled as Hexa with the tagline 6 Athiyayam. Later, the tagline became the main title as it suited the most. This was about to release last week on 16 February. But, somehow it was postponed to 23 February. The advance booking chart of this film shows that it would be a great success. So far, this film could be one of the best horror movies of Tamil.

According to Kaushik LM, each story is interesting but the 6th & the final story, Ini Thodarum is the best.

First Day Collection
