After a good, but below expectations weekend of Rs. 86 crores. Tubelight dropped by around 40% on Tuesday from its Friday Collections. This is not a major drop, as a film flooded with so many negative reviews is expected to drop by more than 50%. But Tubelight held well. Mostly because of the Post-Eid period in many places.
Tuesday Box Office Collections of Tubelight are Rs. 12 crores net. This is a decent figure but much less for Salman Khan starrer opening on Eid. The film is doing well in Nizam/Andhra And East UP. East Punjab and Mumbai are under the mark. Overseas collections are also not so strong right now, with a total of Rs. 25 crores gross coming in from overseas markets.
The Wednesday Collections are around Rs. 6.50 crores as per early estimates. This takes the total collections in 6 days to a total of around Rs. 103-104 crores net. Ideally, the film was supposed to touch 150 crores by now, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
But considering Salman Khan his himself the producer for this film, there are not going to be any losses and film will make profits eventually by 2 weeks.
