Hindi Medium has finally released in China theatres. And as expected, the movie is performing superbly in the International market. It has emerged out to be a Blockbuster. Hindi Medium stars Irrfan Khan in the lead role. In India, its total collection stands at Rs. 69 Crores. While in China, the 1st-day collection of the movie reached around Rs. 3.4 Million Dollars, i.e., Rs. 22.06 Crores.
With this humongous collection, the movie has successfully crossed Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s opening, which stood at $2 Million. The movie has received double the screening as compared to Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Not just this, it has also crossed PK and Dangal’s opening collection. Hindi Medium now stands at the 2nd best opening position after Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar.
Upcoming Bollywood films to release in China
The trend has become strong where Hindi movies are finding great releases in China. After many successful movies like PK, Dhoom 3, Dangal, Secret Superstar, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, many more movies are still lined up for their release in China. Some of them are Hichki and Toilet Ek Prem Katha.
Hichki is a women-centric movie, just like Secret Superstar. And hence, the chances of Hichki beating the latter movie in China is much more. In India, Hichki collected around Rs. 26 Crores in its 1st week at India Box office. It would be interesting to see how many records does this movie breaks at the foreign land.
