Half Girlfriend based on the novel of Chetan Bhagat has started the journey on a good note but could not witness high growth over the weekend. The fan support helped the movie to garner good number but the reviews from critics are not good while the audiences too rated the movie average. So, Half Girlfriend faced noticeable drop around 45% on its weekdays to fetch an amount of Rs. 5.40 crores on Monday.
So, in these 4 days the movie has collected Rs. 37.44 crores in the domestic market.
This is the second time Arjun Kapoor and Chetan Bhagat worked together as Two States is another movie in which Arjun Kapoor featured in the lead role and this was too based on Chetan Bhagat’s Two States novel.
It was expected that this Mohit Suri’s directorial will be able to please audiences just like Ashiqui 2. However, things did not turn well.
On the other hand Hindi Medium which opened on a decent note saw excellent growth over the weekend as this is a brilliant comedy movie that has pleased the audiences highly.
Anyways, let’s see ultimately which one between this Half Girlfriend and Hindi Medium could win the battle.
