Synopsis

Sadhu Agashe, an honest cop began his career with the Mumbai police several years ago and was initially asked to work a desk job, writing FIRs and never got to use his gun. He makes a name for himself by killing criminals in ‘fake’ encounters instead of locking them up in the prison. The movie follows his style of working, gives an insight into the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, and Agashe’s alleged connection with the underworld.

Movie Reception

The low-budget film opened decently and took average growth over its first weekend. Ab Tak Chhappan also received a similar response on the weekdays. The drop in the second week was also not big and the movie recovered its budget cost before the completion of its second week. With around Rs. 1 crore earning in the third week, it collected a total of Rs. 9 crores and earned Rs.13 crores in the entire world.  Hence, Ab Tak Chhappan was a success at the box office.
