Synopsis
The story of a quiet, sweet-tempered housewife who endures small slights from her well-educated husband and daughter every day because of her inability to speak and understand English. In order to please her family and society and to make life a little easier, Shashi takes it upon herself to enroll in an English language course. During this course, she met a host of people who taught her to value herself beyond the narrow perspective of her family. As she overcomes her insecurity and masters a new language, she undergoes a drastic transformation in her personality.
