Hero started its journey at the box office on a decent grounds and made a similar collection over the first weekend. However, it dropped over 50% on the first Monday and ended its first week around Rs. 30 crores. Hero showed a big drop on the second Friday and only managed to earn Rs. 2 crores approx. The film only managed to collect Rs. 32 crores in the domestic market and could not even recover its budget cost.
