Movie Reception

Nayak was a high budget film and expected to earn well in the theatres. However, it could not happen due to the distribution prices and it settled with a below average collection in its lifetime. Although it fared decently through its theatrical run, that was not sufficient for the film to ensure a huge earning. In the overseas market, it collected on the similar grounds and took its total worldwide collection over Rs. 20 crores.
