Kangana Ranaut starrer Simran released this Friday and made a good collection on its opening day. The film received mixed reviews from the critics and also there were speculations of dull response to the film released on Friday. But the story unfolds in a surprising manner, the film registered average collection on Friday.

Total – Rs. 11.28 – 12.03 crores

Despite facing a stiff competition from other releases, Simran has collected Rs. 2.77 crores on its opening day. On Saturday, the film registered a growth of 35.74% and made a collection of Rs. 3.76 crores taking its total box office collection to Rs. 6.53 crores. Clearly, once again Kangana Ranaut has proved herself at the box office and just like Queen, this film is also doing remarkable business at the box office. The Positive word of mouth is crucial aspect here to take the film to new heights.

To make a respectable lifetime box office collection, it is imperative for the film to perform well on Monday. Kangana’s last release Rangoon collected Rs. 24 crores and so Simran needs to maintain its good performance on the weekdays as well.

Updated: Due to India – Australia ODI, the film registered a low growth than our expectations and the total first-weekend box office collection of the film stands at Rs. 10.65 crores.
