Both the new releases of this week OK Jaanu and xXx: The Return of Xander cage had very poor weekends at the box office. The film failed poorly this weekday onwards. It makes us think if the fall on Sunday was really due to the cricket match?
xXx is doing relatively better business than OK Jaanu as it collected 2.5 crores on monday and 2.15 crores on Tuesday. The total 5 day collection till now is Rs. 20.5 crores. This is not a very good figure and the film has some chance of reaching the maximum limit of just 30 crores.
OK Jaanu had a much bigger fall and its monday and tuesday collections are Rs. 1.75 crores and Rs. 1.5 crores net respectively. Ok Jaanu’s collection till tuesday have reached 17.05 crores and this film is highly likely to register itself as the first major flop of the year 2017. This is going to sharply hit Aditya Roy Kapoor who hasn’t had a solo success after Aashiqui 2 in last 4 years.
Dangal Box Office Update
Even in its 4th week and with more competition dangal is doing good business. Dangal’s fourth Monday collections came at 1.3 crores, while Tuesday collections came at 1.15 crores. The total domestic figure for Dangal is now Rs 372.6 crores ( updated ).
Overall, this looks like a good week for Dangal and poor one for other films.
