Sridevi starrer Mom hit the theaters on Friday. After performing decently on its opening day, the film took a long jump. On Saturday, the film showed a remarkable growth of 75.17%. The movie gave a superb performance on Saturday and on Sunday, the performance was brilliant. On its first day, the movie collects Rs. 2.90 crores and on Saturday and Sunday, it earned Rs. 5.08 crores and Rs. 6.42 crores respectively. Its total collections reached a mark of Rs. 14.42 crores.
On its first Monday, the movie managed to collect Rs 2.52 crores. Its business showed a sharp decline as compared to its Sunday performance, but the film gathered much more “footfall” than on its opening day. Although the movie earned less than that on its 1st day, but effectively, it’s more than opening day in terms of its occupancy. The prices of tickets were reduced, hence the people flocked to theaters in large numbers. Its first four-day collections have reached Rs.16.92 crores.
The film is based on the relationship between a mother and her daughter. It revolves around the efforts the mother is making to take revenge of her daughter from her culprits. The film features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna as well. The film is directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Mukesh Talreja, Naresh Agarwal and Gautam Jain.
