Synopsis

Happy New Year made a remarkable entry at the box office and became the highest single day earner of that time. It also opened well in the overseas theatres and took the second highest first-weekend opening. Due to its stronghold on the weekdays, it earned over Rs. 130 crores in the first week.

It also fared well in the overseas market and hence it crossed Rs. 300 crores all over the world. Happy New Year is one of the most successful films of Hindi cinema. The film remained strong till the fourth week and then it started to fall in the theatres. But till the end of its box office journey, it managed to make many records in the overseas as well as domestic market.
