2017 has been a very bad year for the Indian Box Office. The Bollywood movies have failed to put up any significant numbers for the producers. Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan both have 2 movies this year. Raees was a decent hit while JHMS was a big flop. Similar with Tubelight, which was a below average grosser. Tiger Zinda Hai is set to release later this year and we hope it manages to become a hit.

For every hit film, there are more than 20 Flop films this year. This is a very poor ratio and it should be much much better. The Distributors are losing money because of such lackluster movies. But nevertheless, hope is always there and many small budget movies like Mom and Hindi Medium have made us happy with exceptional performances.

Akshay Kumar is one such star whose 2 movies Jolly LLB 2 and Toilet have done very well at the box office. Apart from that Regional-Movies were the stars of 2017. Only Bahubali 2 is mentioned in this list because it is considered a Bollywood film because the contribution of its collection from Hindi version was higher than regional versions.

Let’s take a look at the Best Opening day performers of 2017.
