Dangal touched Rs. 18.96 crores on its 2nd Friday which is higher than First Friday Collections of 98% of the movies released last year. After a humongous 2nd Friday, another huge 2nd Saturday was on the cards. And that’s what happened. Dangal collected Rs. 23.08 crores at the box office on its day 9. Sunday is looking to come out even more huge at approx Rs. 29 crores.
The total 10-day collection for Dangal has now touched Rs. 268 crores, with 2nd weekend totaling to 71 crores. This performance is exceptional even beating Aamir Khan‘s own PK.
The word of Mouth for this film is exceptionally good and will keep this movie going for another week or two at the box office. The first major hurdle will be in the 2nd week of January. And the film will go on until the release of Raees and Kaabil. But that seems like a lot of time for the movie to break many records. If the pace is continued, Dangal is looking to surpass the 300 crore mark in just 2 weeks itself.
